A leading healthcare provider is seeking a skilled Medical Receptionist to join their expanding Allergy practice. The role involves managing patient interactions, handling appointments, and maintaining medical records in a supportive team environment. About UsWe are a well-established and growing Allergy practice with a unique specialization in Food Allergy and Food Allergy treatment. In addition to this focus, we care for patients with a full range of Allergy and Immunology needs. With the recent addition of a new provider, we are expanding our Patient Engagement team to maintain our high standards of service and support for both new and existing patients.
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office operations—experience in an Allergy practice is a plus—and will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple administrative responsibilities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
Perform check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting co-pays and processing payments.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA.
Coordinate with medical staff to support efficient patient flow and address any scheduling needs.
Answer phones, respond to emails, and manage other communications promptly and effectively.
Process referrals, prior authorizations, and related documentation as needed.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency with electronic medical records systems (eClinicalWorks experience is a plus).
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes.
Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.

ScheduleOur current office hours are:
Monday & Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Front desk team members are scheduled to arrive before opening to prepare for the day and may occasionally stay after closing to accommodate patient needs.
