Job summary

Blythe Construction, Inc. in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to support road and heavy construction projects. You will inspect equipment, operate dozers, scrapers, loaders, and excavators, and coordinate with crew to meet grade specifications.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years of experience on heavy equipment, a high school diploma or GED (preferred), and the ability to follow complex signals and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Requires demonstrable experience as Heavy Equipment Operator.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand work directions and signals.
• Three (3) years or more of industry related experience, with emphasis on roads, highways and bridges.
• Physical ability to operate machinery in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment to ensure safe daily operation.
• Operate various heavy equipment including dozers, scrapers, loaders, excavators, tractors and backhoes.
• Interact with crew to align, move, and adjust equipment for grade specifications.
• Turn valves to control air and water output of compressors and pumps.
• Adjust control wheels and pedals to drive machinery and attachments.
