Job summary

Snell & Wilmer in Portland seeks a full-time Litigation Paralegal to support trial teams through case management, document drafting, discovery and e-discovery, with strict attention to deadlines.

The role requires at least five years of experience, a paralegal certificate or ABA degree, strong research and communication skills, and proficiency with Relativity, Westlaw/Lexis, and Microsoft Office; travel may be required for hearings.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree and paralegal certificate from ABA-accredited paralegal training program or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
• 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in a law firm environment.
• Experience with Relativity (RelOne) is a plus; proficient in Westlaw, LexisNexis and case management software; strong MS Office and Adobe Acrobat skills.
• Strong understanding of litigation processes and e-discovery, with ability to manage documents and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and multitasking capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Case Management: Oversee organization and maintenance of case files and electronic documents.
• Document Preparation: Draft and edit pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses and other court docs.
• Discovery Support: Coordinate discovery, collect, review, produce, and maintain privilege logs.
• E-Discovery: Use Relativity to manage and produce electronic evidence.
• Legal Research: Conduct research and draft summaries; cite-check memos and briefs.
• Trial Preparation: Assist with trial materials; coordinate hearings and travel as needed.
• Communication: Liaise with clients, opposing counsel and attorneys to provide case updates.
• Administrative Duties: Manage calendars, deadlines, and timekeeping; maintain organized records.
