Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists attorneys in all stages of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
- Organizes and maintains case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
- Assists in trial preparation by compiling exhibits, preparing witness lists, and coordinating with court personnel.
- Communicates with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials professionally and efficiently.
- Manages deadlines for filings, responses, and court appearances, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
- Records billable hours accurately and assists with preparing invoices for clients.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
- Five or more years of experience as a paralegal in litigation.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis or Westlaw.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
- Experience with eDiscovery software such as Nextpoint and Relativity.
- Experience with trial presentation software such as OnCue.
- Prior in-courtroom trial experience.
- Adaptability and willingness to take on new tasks as they arise.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to structure complex projects efficiently and set/adjust priorities effectively; superior attention to detail; excellent judgement and use of discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work individually on a project and on multiple projects concurrently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
