Job summary

Tabet DiVito & Rothstein LLC, a well-established Chicago law firm, seeks a highly motivated litigation attorney with at least four years of litigation experience to handle a diverse caseload and work closely with seasoned attorneys.

The associate will manage cases through all phases of litigation, draft and file essential pleadings, conduct legal research, take depositions, and participate in mediations and trials. Hybrid work schedule with in-office days.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Illinois and good standing with the Illinois Bar.
• Minimum of 4–5 years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience handling depositions, hearings, and motion practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and reviewing document productions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Prepare witnesses and clients for depositions, hearings, and trial.
• Appear in court for hearings, motions, case management conferences, and trials.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide practical legal advice.
• Collaborate with partners, other associates, and support staff to ensure effective case management.
