Adams Broadwell Joseph & Cardozo is accepting applications for an Associate Attorney with 6-10 years of experience practicing land use and environmental law in California.

Adams Broadwell Joseph & Cardozo represents clients on California's major administrative, regulatory and legislative matters related to environmental, natural resources, energy, utility, land use, local government, building and construction, and labor law. Adams Broadwell Joseph & Cardozo offers a collaborative environment where attorneys work alongside seasoned practitioners to deliver effective and strategic representation to labor organizations, trade associations, environmental, consumer and community groups and other non-profit associations throughout California.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Substantive experience practicing land use, planning and zoning, and environmental law.
• Excellent legal research, analytic and writing skills.
• Outstanding and persuasive written or oral communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel, as needed, to represent clients at public hearings.
• Ability to work effectively with technical experts, including with respect to new technologies and emerging climate and health threats.
• Strong capacity for strategic thinking, including in designing and implementing advocacy that consistently obtains high-quality results.
• Demonstrated interest in sustainable development which minimizes public health and environmental harm while maximizing community benefits.
• Ability to work collegially and collaboratively and contribute to a diverse, equitable and inclusive work culture.
