Job summary

Tin Lizzie in Deadwood, SD is seeking a Kitchen Cook to join our busy kitchen team. You will assist with stocking, set up stations, prepare and plate dishes under the guidance of the senior chef, and coordinate with servers to ensure timely, accurate orders.

We value food safety, strong prep skills, and teamwork. Qualified applicants have at least 2 years cooking experience and a High School diploma; ServeSafe is a plus. Full- and part-time roles with daily pay options may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years' experience as a Cook in the restaurant industry.
• Able to read and follow standardized recipes.
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
• ServeSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations.
• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks.
• Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance.
• Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.
• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts.
• Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.
