Job summary

D2B Groups is recruiting for a hands-on Mold Setter at their Middle Tennessee injection molding operation. The role involves multiple mold changes per shift, setting and clamping molds, and connecting water, hydraulic and electrical systems.

You will load programs, run first-off parts, and ensure parts meet print specs before handoff to production. Candidates should have 5+ years in molding setup or process work, with demonstrated crane operation and tooling skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in an injection molding production environment.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and rig loads safely around tooling.
• Mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools; read setup sheets and prints.
• Comfort recalling programs and entering parameters at a press controller.
• Willingness to work first shift on-site and lift/maneuver as needed.

Responsibilities

• Mold changes and material handling per daily production schedule.
• Operate overhead cranes to remove/install molds with proper rigging.
• Set, square, clamp molds to platens, verify safe mounting before startup.
• Verify water lines, hydraulic/electrical connections; run first-off parts.
• Set up auxiliary equipment and verify any required tooling.
• Load and verify correct setup/programs at press controller.
• Run first-off parts, adjust process to meet specifications.
• Document setup sheets, process parameters, changeovers accurately.
• Maintain safety, follow lockout/tagout; support maintenance.
