Job summary

Linde in Freeport, TX is seeking an I&E Technician to perform planned and unplanned maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, and analytical equipment. You will diagnose issues, make technical decisions, and escalate as needed while working with mechanical systems.

The role requires 5+ years in an industrial setting, ability to read equipment drawings, solid computer skills, and willingness to support on-call duties across Texas City/Houston Ship Channel facilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an industrial production environment.
• Ability to interpret equipment drawings.
• Functional computer skills.
• Ability to support on-call responsibilities in a 24/7 operating environment.
• Willingness to support multiple facilities within the Texas City/Houston Ship Channel area.

Responsibilities

• Identify and complete planned and unplanned maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, and analytical equipment.
• Diagnose issues, make technical decisions, and escalate concerns to management when necessary.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify mechanical equipment and systems, including pumps, piping, valves, and related components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and machine tools to perform maintenance and repair activities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and systems by identifying malfunctions, disassembling equipment, and repairing or replacing components such as bearings, gears, gaskets, and fittings.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
• Create, update, and maintain accurate work order and maintenance history records.
• Manage critical spare parts inventory to support onsite mechanical equipment reliability.
• Maintain the shop and parts warehouse in a safe and organized condition.
• Complete and document predictive and corrective maintenance activities within the CMMS
