Job summary

Linde in Hawkins, Texas, is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operation of plant equipment.

You will troubleshoot up to 600V, calibrate devices, repair rotating machinery, read diagrams, and use CMMS to plan and document activities, supporting 24/7 operations across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in industrial maintenance or processing environment.
• Experience with instrumentation and electrical systems; I&E certification preferred.
• Welding and HVAC experience beneficial.
• Proficient with CMMS and basic MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical maintenance to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment safely.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate instrumentation, transmitters, PLCs, and process analyzers up to 600V.
• Conduct preventive/predictive and corrective maintenance for optimum plant performance.
• Repair and disassemble rotating equipment: pumps, compressors, bearings, seals, gears.
• Use hand/power tools and measurement devices to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
• Read manuals, drawings, blueprints, and one-line diagrams to support maintenance tasks.
• Follow SMPs, SOPs, and safety policies; ensure compliance with standards.
• Utilize CMMS to plan, schedule, document maintenance and procurement.
• Repair mechanical piping: threaded and welded systems.
• Support plant startup/shutdown and document maintenance work.
• Supervise contractor activities and ensure safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Hawkins, Garland, Fort Worth staff; provide support at other sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• You will perform instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical maintenance activities to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment in a safe and reliable manner
• Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate instrumentation and electrical systems, including low-voltage electrical equipment (up to 600V), transmitters, PLCs, temperature and flow measurement devices, and process analyzers
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and systems to ensure optimal plant performance and reliability
• Further, you will troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, and reassemble rotating equipment and mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, gearboxes, bearings, seals, gears, and related components
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, measurement devices, and machine tools to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, blueprints, switchgear drawings (SWDs), and electrical one-line diagrams to support maintenance and repair activities
• Follow all SMPs, SOPs, safety policies, and procedures while maintaining compliance with company standards and regulations
• And you will utilize CMMS systems to plan, schedule, execute, and document maintenance activities, including parts procurement, work coordination, and completion of required documentation
• Perform repairs on mechanical piping systems, including threaded and welded pipe applications
• Support plant startup and shutdown activities and document all predictive and corrective maintenance work
• And you will supervise contractor activities and ensure compliance with all safety requirements and work practices
• Collaborate closely with technicians and operations personnel at the Hawkins, Garland, and Fort Worth facilities, providing support at other locations as needed

What Makes You Great

• You have a High School Diploma; Associate degree is preferred
• More than three (3+) years of experience in an industrial manufacturing, production, maintenance, or processing environment
• Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) experience or certification preferred, with mechanical maintenance experience or aptitude considered a strong plus
• You have experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems
• Welding and HVAC experience are beneficial
• Strong computer skills with the ability to utilize maintenance systems, documentation tools, and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, 24/7 industrial operation
• You have willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation and respond to operational or maintenance issues as needed
• Ability and willingness to travel periodically for training and development opportunities
