Job summary

Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to perform inspections, repairs, and installations at residential homes. You will troubleshoot equipment, order parts, and ensure work meets code and customer expectations.

Requirements include 3–5 years of HVAC experience, EPA certification, valid driver's license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of verifiable HVAC industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems and repair.
• EPA certification and valid driver's license required.
• NATE certification or HVAC diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough HVAC inspections and accurate repairs to code.
• Order and prepare parts for service appointments.
• Submit purchase orders to dispatch or purchasing team.
• Communicate clearly with customers about questions and issues.
• Train and mentor apprentices.
• Maintain courteous demeanor with customers and colleagues.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform a thorough and accurate HVAC inspection

Perform all HVAC repairs and replacements to applicable codes.

Facilitate order for all parts required for appointments and ensure preparedness for the day of service.

Submit purchase orders to dispatch or other designated purchasing team administrators.

Effectively communicate with the customer regarding questions, concerns and problems.

Train, coach and mentor apprentices.

Maintain a courteous demeanor with customers and associates at all times.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of verifiable work experience in the HVAC industry.

Knowledge of the fundamental operational functionality of residential air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment.

Able to troubleshoot problems with refrigerant, electrical, and duct systems on HVAC equipment.

Requirements:

EPA Certified.

A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

NATE Certification preferred.

HVAC certification or Diploma preferred.

Valid driver’s license
