Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Experienced HVAC Technician role located in Callao, VA. The technician installs, services, and repairs residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related components. Daily responsibilities include performing diagnostics, troubleshooting system issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and completing start-ups and system checks. The role also involves accurately documenting work performed, maintaining tools and company equipment, following safety and regulatory guidelines, and communicating clearly with customers about recommended services and system operation. The technician collaborates with the dispatch and installation teams to ensure timely appointments and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Strong HVAC technical skills, including installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of residential and light commercial systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC system components, refrigerants, electrical circuits, airflow, and combustion, with the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
• Ability to perform routine and preventive maintenance, system inspections, and efficiency checks while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
• Effective communication and customer service skills to explain findings, answer questions, and provide clear, respectful recommendations.
• Capability to work independently in the field, manage time efficiently, and collaborate with office and installation teams.
• Experience using basic hand and power tools, diagnostic instruments, and mobile or digital work-order systems.
• Relevant HVAC certifications or licenses (such as EPA Section 608 certification); state or local HVAC licensure is preferred.
• Previous experience as an HVAC technician or installer, preferably in residential or light commercial environments.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting equipment, working in confined spaces, and operating safely on ladders or rooftops.
