Mechanical Solutions, Inc. in St. Louis, MO is seeking an experienced Estimator (Mechanical) to produce complete and accurate estimates for HVAC and piping projects. The role involves take-offs, supplier quotes, and bid preparation to meet project timelines.

You will collaborate with project managers and the purchasing team, travel to job sites when needed, and ensure estimates align with company policies and safety standards. A strong data-driven approach and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC, piping, and estimating.
• Strong ability to interpret blueprints, specs, and contract documents.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Trimble MEP preferred / QuickPen).
• Excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Estimate all assigned projects with accurate take-offs and pricing.
• Request and compare pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and equipment vendors.
• Clarify drawings or specs with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare final estimate sheets and bid forms for submission.
• Maintain organized back-up documents and price databases.
