Job summary

Gregory Construction is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator to join our field crew on civil, industrial, and commercial projects. You will operate equipment, read grade, coordinate with the crew, and help maintain safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil construction experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of verifiable heavy equipment operating experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to travel to multiple job sites.
• Able to pass pre-employment screening (drug screen and background check).
• Strong work ethic with a team-first mindset.
• Commitment to safety on all job sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to move dirt, rock, and other materials.
• Spread, grade, and level materials on roadbeds and job sites.
• Read grade and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections.
• Coordinate with crew members using hand and audio signals.
• Load and transport materials using equipment and trucks.
• Inspect, clean, maintain, and assist with minor equipment repairs.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and flexible hours.
