Job summary

Financecolombia is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for heavy civil construction projects in Texas. The role involves safe operation of excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, rollers, skid steers, backhoes, and haul trucks to support road, bridge, and utility work.

You will perform grading, trenching, material handling, read grade stakes, inspect equipment daily, and work with supervisors and crews. A minimum of 5 years' experience and a valid driver's license (CDL preferred) are required

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
• Experience operating multiple types of heavy construction equipment.
• Knowledge of grading, excavation, and utility installation operations.
• Ability to work safely around underground utilities and personnel.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, motor graders, rollers, skid steers, backhoes, and haul trucks.
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, material handling, and backfilling operations.
• Read and understand grade stakes, site plans, and construction drawings.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with supervisors, survey crews, laborers, and utility crews.
• Maintain proper trench safety and excavation practices.
• Load trucks and transport materials within project limits.
• Follow project schedules and productivity requirements.
• Maintain compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
