Job summary

You will follow safety procedures, perform daily inspections, and coordinate with the crew to meet project specifications.

The role requires attention to underground utilities, adherence to procedures, and flexibility for long hours, weekend work, and overtime as projects demand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum five years of heavy equipment operation.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications preferred.
• Willingness to overtime and travel as project needs require.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment (backhoes, bulldozers, skid steers, trenchers, etc.) on construction and excavation projects.
• Observes flags and ground markings for underground utilities and structures.
• Excavates to specified dimensions from drawings/markers.
• Performs backfilling and grading to required grades; loads materials.
• Drives crew truck and transports tools, crew, and equipment to site.
• Performs general preventative maintenance and checks fluid levels.
• Performs other ground maintenance tasks as assigned.
