Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant for the Hand Plastic Surgery department. Under physician supervision, you will perform history taking, physical exams, order labs/imaging, diagnose, and develop treatment plans.

You may assist in surgeries, prescribe medications, and counsel patients and families while maintaining strict confidentiality. Minimum education includes a Bachelor's degree and graduation from an AMA-approved PA program.

Qualifications

• Minimum education includes a Bachelor's degree and graduation from an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program.
• Massachusetts PA licensure and NCCPA certification may be required for certain duties.
• Prior clinical experience in a related setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration with patients, families and staff are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide varied medical services under physician supervision, including history, exam, orders, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Prescribe and/or dispense medications and assist in surgeries or invasive procedures as needed.
• Counsel patients and families and coordinate care with the medical team.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold hospital policies and regulations.
