Harnden Construction Services is seeking GPS-controlled bulldozer operators to support ongoing projects at Ft. Meade, MD, with preference for site construction experience using GPS equipment.

You will operate late-model CAT equipment, perform daily inspections, maintain haul roads and stockpiles, and uphold MSHA and company safety policies on site.

Overview

HarndenConstruction Services, is seeking qualified and experienced GPS-controlled bulldozer operators to join our team and support the work we perform throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, with this position initially assigned to our ongoing projects at Ft. Meade, MD. Prior specific experience in site construction with GPS-controlled equipment is preferred.Latemodel CAT equipment will be operated.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Perform pre and post trip of equipment every day and fill out daily inspection sheets
• Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel/moves joysticks/levers to operate heavy equipment including excavator with hammer
• Provide excellent customer service to all customers on site
• Maintains haul roads that are smooth and safe
• Keep stockpiles properly bermed and maintained
• Ensure product is blended correctly
• Performs routine maintenance on equipment such as lubricating and cleaning
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR one year of related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Experience operating bulldozer
• Problem solving
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• 3 years related experience
• Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting
• MSHA or other relevant safety certification
