Harnden Construction Services, LLC seeks an experienced Project Superintendent for Ft. Meade, MD and Chambersburg, PA sites. You will supervise earthwork and underground utilities, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership and communication skills, with OSHA/safety certs preferred and heavy equipment experience. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED or 3 years related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience operating heavy equipment (excavators, bulldozers); GPS experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Problem solving and priority setting skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and wear PPE.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• OSHA or safety certificates are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enforce OSHA and Harnden safety policies on all site activities.
• Lead and coordinate project personnel to keep schedule, budget, and quality.
• Direct supervision and guidance of contractors and field staff.
• Prepare safety, work planning, and daily activity documentation.
• Coordinate manpower and equipment with General Superintendent.
• Order and schedule materials for delivery to site.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Harnden Construction Services LLC,has an immediate employment opportunity available for a Project Superintendent in the Ft. Meade, MD and Chambersburg, PA areas. We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent. Applicant needs to be able to demonstrate prior supervision experience with earthwork and underground utility projects, with appropriate competent person certifications.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs all work according to OSHA and Harnden Safety policies
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Directs and coordinatesactivities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule, within prescribed budget, and provides advice to solve problems
• Prepares project specific safety-related and work planning documentation as required.
• Documents and submits daily project working conditions, working hours and productions for work activities.
• Coordinates project’s needs for manpower and equipment with General Superintendent.
• Order and schedule project materials for delivery to project site.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR 3 years of related experience and/or training
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean Driving record
• Experience operating heavy equipment, especially excavators, bulldozers, GPS experience preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Problem solving and priority setting skills
• Composure and conflict resolution skills
• Basic internet and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) skills
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• Supervisory experience
• OSHA or other relevant safety certificates
• Experience in heavy civil construction
