Job summary

President Container Group in Middletown, CT, is seeking a production operator to set up and run flexographic machinery with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires following tickets, layouts and die cuts, inspecting rolls and plates, and training junior staff while maintaining daily production documentation. This is an on-site position within a fast-paced packaging facility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow safety policies and maintain good housekeeping.
• Ability to recall orders in the computer system and to produce cartons up to 80% of machine capability.
• Understand and verify that all factory ticket, print layout, and cutting die layout information matches the order.
• Inspect anilox rolls for damage before and after each run.
• Inspect cutting dies and printing plates before and after runs for repairs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up folding rails and print/die cut sections of flexo according to setup techniques.
• Monitor box quality including liner, warp, size, print clarity, and die cut pressure/registration.
• Monitor ink pH and viscosity for max ink performance.
• Record caliper readings at several stages and document on quality sheets.
• Set up, run, monitor, and adjust pre-feeder and related machinery components.
• Train assistant operator to recall order specs and perform basic carton setups.
• Complete daily production reports and related data entries.
• Report maintenance issues to supervision for entry into Micro Main.
• Adhere to production schedule and assist in optimizing it for cost, quality and service.
