Job summary

DynaFire LLC is seeking a Fire Extinguisher & Kitchen Suppression Technician in Saint Petersburg, FL. You will inspect, service, test, repair, and install extinguishers and pre-engineered kitchen suppression systems, ensuring NFPA compliance and Florida statutes.

You will also service exit and emergency lights and document all work using Service Trade and iPads. The ideal candidate has at least two years of hands-on experience, valid Florida permits, and strong communication and time management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Florida Driver’s license.
• Valid Florida State Fire Extinguisher permit.
• Valid Florida State Pre-Engineered Kitchen Suppression Permit.
• Minimum of two years hands-on experience in extinguisher and kitchen suppression inspections, install, recharge, and hydrostatic testing.
• Proficient with extinguisher and kitchen suppression types, classifications, sizes, ratings, and job specs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, test, repair, and install fire extinguishers and pre-engineered kitchen suppression systems in compliance with NFPA codes and Florida statutes.
• Perform inspections and repairs on exit and emergency lights to meet safety standards.
• Document work electronically using iPads and Service Trade software.
• Maintain physical capability to lift 50–75 pounds and climb ladders up to 12 feet as required.
• Represent DynaFire with strong communication and dependability.

Description

We are seeking a Fire Extinguisher & Kitchen Suppression Technician who will be tasked with inspecting, servicing, testing, repairing, and installing all types of fire extinguishers and pre-engineered kitchen suppression systems. Includes recharging and hydrostatic testing of high and low pressure extinguishers and pre-engineered kitchen suppression tanks. Maintaining the extinguisher service shop and equipment. Exit and emergency light inspection,service, testing, and installation. The ideal candidate will have great communication and time management skills.

• Inspect, service, test, repair, and install fire extinguishers and pre-engineered kitchen suppression systems in compliance with applicable NFPA codes and Florida Statutes 69A-21 and 633.
• Perform inspections, installations, and repairs on exit and emergency lights to meet safety standards.
• Understand and apply NFPA-10, NFPA-12, NFPA-12A, NFPA-17, NFPA-17A, NFPA-96, NFPA-2001.
• Maintain strong communication and client relationships by proactively addressing their needs and providing timely follow-ups.
• Complete work-related documentation electronically using company-provided technology, including iPads and Service Trade software.
• Handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 50-75 pounds and safely climbing ladders up to 12 feet, as required to complete various job assignments.

• Proficient in DynaFire office hardware and software tools. (Service Trade) A Must*
