Job summary

DynaFire is hiring a Fire Extinguisher & Kitchen Suppression Technician in Saint Petersburg, FL. You will inspect, service, test, repair, and install extinguishers and pre-engineered kitchen suppression systems, performing hydrostatic testing where needed.

You will maintain the service shop, handle exit/light inspections, and ensure compliance with NFPA codes and Florida statutes. The ideal candidate has at least two years of hands-on experience, Florida permits, a valid driver’s license, and

Qualifications

• Two years of hands-on experience in fire extinguisher and pre-engineered kitchen suppression inspections, installation, recharge, and hydrostatic testing.
• Valid Florida State Fire Extinguisher permit and Florida State Pre-Engineered Kitchen Suppression Permit.
• Fluent with extinguisher types, classifications, sizes, ratings, service and repair practices, and job requirement specifications.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, test, repair, and install fire extinguishers and pre-engineered kitchen suppression systems in compliance with NFPA codes and Florida statutes.
• Perform inspections, installations, and repairs on exit and emergency lights to meet safety standards.
• Understand and apply NFPA-10, NFPA-12, NFPA-12A, NFPA-17, NFPA-17A, NFPA-96, NFPA-2001.
• Maintain strong communication and client relationships by proactively addressing needs and providing timely follow-ups.
• Complete work-related documentation electronically using company-provided technology, including iPads and Service Trade software.
• Handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 50-75 pounds and climbing ladders up to 12 feet as required.
• Represent the company’s mission and core values in daily work.
