Job summary

DynaFire is seeking an Experienced Fire Alarm Service Test & Inspection Technician to perform testing and inspection on fire alarm systems, including DynaNet installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. You will work to maximize system uptime and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills, plus hands-on experience with test equipment and fire alarm panels.

Qualifications

• Two-year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and field experience.
• NICET level II certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform test and inspection on fire alarm systems, including DynaNet installation.
• Troubleshoot and maintain fire alarm systems to minimize downtime.
• Test, troubleshoot, program fire alarm panels and document results to meet codes.
• Trains and instructs customers on proper equipment use.
• Operate test equipment such as volt/ohm meters, oscilloscopes, and testers.

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Service Test & Inspection Technician who is responsible for performing test & inspection on fire alarm systems including, but not limited to, the installation of DynaNet, troubleshooting and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The Alarm technician is responsible for test & inspecting fire alarm systems in the most efficient manner to assure minimum down time and maximum performance. All inspections must meet the highest quality standards set forth by DynaFire, Inc., while assuring a professional and safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, communication, and problem solving skills.

• Responds to customer’s service related issues promptly and must have the ability to effectively deal with customers, some that will require high levels of patience’s.
• Maintain the ability to effectively communicate the needs required to complete DynaFire’s scope of work to all parties responsible for portions effecting the timely completion of that scope.
• To test, trouble shot, program fire alarm systems and documentation required to meet all applicable industry codes and standards.
• The ability to effectively hand and computer program fire alarm panels commonly installed by DynaFire.
• Follow all DynaFire’s policies and procedures.
• Trains and instructs the customer on the proper use of the equipment.
• Responsible for operation of the following test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Tone Generator, and Battery Tester.

Training and Certification Requirements:

• The Fire Alarm Systems Technician shall possess a two-year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and related field experience. A working knowledge of computers and communications systems is required. You must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Employee must have a means of communicating via ISP for VPN connection. NICET level II.
