DynaFire, Inc. in Saint Petersburg, FL, seeks a Fire Alarm Service Test & Inspection Technician to perform testing and inspection on fire alarm systems, install DynaNet, troubleshoot, and maintain systems for maximum uptime and performance.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly, delivers excellent customer service, and follows safety and quality standards. NICET II and a two-year electronics degree are required, with opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer service issues promptly and professionally.
• Communicate needs for the job scope to all parties involved.
• Test, troubleshoot, and program fire alarm systems and document compliance.
• Hand and computer program fire alarm panels commonly installed by DynaFire.
• Follow all DynaFire policies and procedures.
• Train and instruct customers on proper equipment use.
• Operate test equipment: volt meter, ohm meter, oscilloscope, multimeter, tone generator, and battery tester.

Description

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Service Test & Inspection Technician who is responsible for performing test & inspection on fire alarm systems including, but not limited to, the installation of DynaNet, troubleshooting and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The Alarm technician is responsible for test & inspecting fire alarm systems in the most efficient manner to assure minimum down time and maximum performance. All inspections must meet the highest quality standards set forth by DynaFire, Inc., while assuring a professional and safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, communication, and problem solving skills.

• Responds to customer's service related issues promptly and must have the ability to effectively deal with customers, some that will require high levels of patience's.
• Maintain the ability to effectively communicate the needs required to complete DynaFire's scope of work to all parties responsible for portions effecting the timely completion of that scope.
• To test, trouble shot, program fire alarm systems and documentation required to meet all applicable industry codes and standards.
• The ability to effectively hand and computer program fire alarm panels commonly installed by DynaFire.
• Follow all DynaFire's policies and procedures.
• Trains and instructs the customer on the proper use of the equipment.
• Responsible for operation of the following test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Tone Generator, and Battery Tester.

Requirements

Training and Certification Requirements:

• The Fire Alarm Systems Technician shall possess a two-year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and related field experience. A working knowledge of computers and communications systems is required. You must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Employee must have a means of communicating via ISP for VPN connection. NICET level II.
