Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an experienced technician to maintain and optimize etch equipment. This role focuses on ensuring high uptime, coordinating with the shift supervisor, and supporting new equipment introductions at our Austin, Texas facility.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of etch semiconductor experience in high-volume manufacturing and a two-year technical degree. This is a full-time, on-site position with a varied shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree or equivalent military experience.
• 5+ years direct Etch semiconductor experience in high volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tooling per procedures.
• Respond to tool faults and assist wafer recovery with proper documentation.
• Coordinate with Shift Supervisor to ensure PM coverage for priority tools.
• Resolve unplanned equipment issues and update documentation accordingly.
• Support new equipment introductions and onboard training on shifts.
• Monitor abnormal equipment signals and drive uptime improvements.
• Update SOPs when required and ensure compliance.
