Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English per regulations.
• Minimum six months related experience; minimum 3 years driving experience may substitute for diploma.
• Valid state-issued Class C Driver's License; acceptable driving record; Forklift Driver Certification; DOT Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Certification; bondable.

Responsibilities

• Act as a messenger and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Protect company equipment and freight from damage, theft, or tampering.
• Ensure cargo is secured and documented; verify accuracy of delivery documents.
• Load freight using forklift and pallet jack; secure with load locks, straps, etc.; unload safely.
• Report delays, damages, shortages, or customer complaints promptly.
• Comply with Transportation Security Administration security requirements.
