CEVA Logistics in DeKalb, IL is seeking a Driver III to operate heavy and tractor-trailer GVW capacity trucks and transport cargo to multiple destinations. You will drive safely, adhere to DOT regulations, and protect cargo from loss or damage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid state issued CDL class A or B with relevant endorsements preferred.
• Hazardous materials endorsement may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Act as a messenger for the company and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
• Operate vehicle to transport materials to and from specified destinations in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with State and Federal DOT regulations and TSA requirements.
• Be a protector of company equipment and freight, keeping it safe from damage, theft or tampering.
• Oversee the safety of cargo and unit to ensure it is properly secured and in good condition; verify delivery documentation for accuracy.
• Load freight onto the truck using forklift/pallet jack and secure with straps; unload freight at final destination.
• May reload or unload trailer via refinery or storage tank.
• Oversee reporting of any irregularities related to pickup/delivery (damage, shortage, complaints).
• Maintain radio contact with dispatch and report delays due to weather, breakdowns, or emergencies.
