Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) is seeking an experienced Dozer Operator to join our construction team in Arkansas. The role focuses on safely operating heavy equipment to move earth and materials while adhering to project timelines and budgets.

The Operator I will collaborate with crew members and subcontractors to ensure project quality, schedule adherence, and efficient resource use. Prior government contract exposure is a plus, with emphasis on compliance and safety at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment preferred.
• 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction setting.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; experience with government contracts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, and loaders, to move materials.
• Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed.
• Communicate with crew members and subcontractors to meet schedules and budgets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with crew and subcontractors to ensure awareness of schedules.
• Ensure equipment safety and proper maintenance.
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
