Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt is seeking an experienced Diesel Service Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing and repairing heavy‑duty trucks and related components, with supervision kept to a minimum.

You will follow safety rules, document all repairs, maintain tools and work area, and communicate parts needs to the Service Foreman. A Class A CDL is required or obtainable, and Peterbilt online training is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Trade school certificate or college degree preferred but not required.
• Experience in related field preferred but not required.
• Must possess or obtain Class A CDL.
• Motor Vehicle Record adheres to MVR Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic/mechanical repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components.
• Follows safety rules and company policies always.
• Communicate to Service Foreman regarding parts that are not available for repairs.
• Download and save to Paccar Solutions/Decisiv: all pictures, engine files (before and after repair), and diagnostic test used to perform repair.
• Record in detail, the description of all troubleshooting steps and results of repairs made and any other information about the repair.
• Save all warrantable parts. Tag, wash, box and turn in to correct location. Labels the box with repair order number, S/N, customer name and date.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Clean and return tools used.
• Advise the following shift's technicians with any special instructions or concerns you found when repairing truck.
• Maintain efficiency and productivity goals set forth by Service Manager.
• Maintain Peterbilt online training percentage of 95%.
• Obtain class A CDL and retain during employment.
• Perform other duties and repairs as assigned.
