Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt is seeking an experienced Diesel Service Technician to join our team. This role performs all functions of a fully qualified heavy‑duty truck repair mechanic under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance, while adhering to safety rules and company policies. The position requires obtaining or possessing a Class A CDL and maintaining quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL.
• High School diploma required; trade school preferred.
• Experience in a related field is encouraged but not required.
• MVR must meet company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and mechanical repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment; verify repairs are complete.
• Follow safety rules and company policies at all times.
• Communicate with Service Foreman about unavailable parts.
• Document repair steps and results in the system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and organize tools.
• Assist with training and shift handoffs as needed.
