Job summary

Hogan Transportation seeks an experienced diesel/reefer technician to perform maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of tractor and truck equipment. You will remove, replace, and repair components to restore peak performance.

Requirements include 10+ years in diesel/reefer tech, high school or GED, and strong hands-on skills with hand, air and power tools. A clean MVR and owned tools are needed; company benefits support your career with medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of diesel/reefer technician experience.
• In-depth knowledge of hand, air and power tools.
• Experience with welding and oxy/acetylene cutting procedures.
• Strong diagnostic and repair capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Diagnoses and repairs tractors and trucks using established procedures.
• Identifies parts for repair and replaces as needed.
• Removes broken parts and installs new or reconditioned parts.
• Road tests vehicles to diagnose issues and ensure safety.
• Uses hydraulic jacks to raise equipment.
• Other duties as required.

Job Summary

Provides required maintenance, including diagnosis and repair for Hogan tractor and truck equipment. Includes the removal, replacement and repair of any an all components of the tractor or truck.

This position pays $36-$40 per hour for qualified Techs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides preventive maintenance and DOT Inspection using the correct procedures and guidelines.
• Diagnoses and repairs tractors and trucks using well-established policies and procedures, as well as hand and power tools; this includes, but is not limited to, various types of braking systems (hydraulic, air, disc), electrical systems, clutches, air conditioning and heating systems and instruments and gauges, steering mechanisms, wheels, tires, batteries.
• Identifies parts and/or systems for repair; repairs or replaces, as appropriate.
• Removes broken parts and replaces with new or reconditioned parts.
• Road tests vehicles to diagnosis issues and ensure a safe operating vehicle.
• Uses hydraulic jacks to raise equipment.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school education or GED
• In-depth knowledge of all hand, air and power tools required for this industry
• Basic understanding and knowledge of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures
• Overall complete knowledge with comprehensive truck/trailer repair.
• Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge.
• 10+ years of diesel/reefer tech experience.
• Clean MVR.
• Own set of tools.
