Job summary

Hogan Transportation seeks an experienced diesel technician to maintain and repair tractors and trucks across North America. The role includes diagnosis, component removal/installation, and safety road testing in a full-service operation.

Applicants should have 6–10 years in diesel technology, strong hand and power tool proficiency, and a clean MVR. Location-based on-site work with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Diagnose and repair tractors and trucks using established procedures.
• Identify parts and perform repairs or replacements.
• Road test vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Use hydraulic jacks and tools to service equipment.
• Collaborate with shop staff to complete tasks.

Job Summary

Provides required maintenance, including diagnosis and repair for Hogan tractor and truck equipment. Includes the removal, replacement and repair of any an all components of the tractor or truck.

This position pays $30-$36 per hour for qualified Techs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides preventive maintenance and DOT Inspection using the correct procedures and guidelines.
• Diagnoses and repairs tractors and trucks using well-established policies and procedures, as well as hand and power tools; this includes, but is not limited to, various types of braking systems (hydraulic, air, disc), electrical systems, clutches, air conditioning and heating systems and instruments and gauges, steering mechanisms, wheels, tires, batteries.
• Identifies parts and/or systems for repair; repairs or replaces, as appropriate.
• Removes broken parts and replaces with new or reconditioned parts.
• Road tests vehicles to diagnose issues and ensure a safe operating vehicle.
• Uses hydraulic jacks to raise equipment.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school education or GED
• In-depth knowledge of all hand, air and power tools required for this industry
• Basic understanding and knowledge of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures
• Overall complete knowledge with comprehensive truck/trailer repair.
• Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge.
• Clean MVR.
• 6-10 years of Diesel Tech experience.
• Ability to work well in a team environment
