Job summary

Hogan Transportation is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on tractor and truck equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and replacing components to ensure peak performance and safety, including braking, electrical, and climate systems.

The position offers hourly compensation of $30-$36 with benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) matching, PTO, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED is required.
• In-depth knowledge of hand, air and power tools.
• Welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting knowledge.
• Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge for trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities

• Provides preventive maintenance and DOT inspections following procedures.
• Diagnoses and repairs tractors and trucks using established policies and tools.
• Identifies parts and systems for repair and replaces as needed.
• Removes broken parts and replaces with new or reconditioned parts.
• Road tests vehicles to diagnose issues and ensure safe operation.

Job Summary

Provides required maintenance, including diagnosis and repair for Hogan tractor and truck equipment. Includes the removal, replacement and repair of any an all components of the tractor or truck.

This position pays $30-$36 per hour for qualified Techs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides preventive maintenance and DOT Inspection using the correct procedures and guidelines.
• Diagnoses and repairs tractors and trucks using well-established policies and procedures, as well as hand and power tools; this includes, but is not limited to, various types of braking systems (hydraulic, air, disc), electrical systems, clutches, air conditioning and heating systems and instruments and gauges, steering mechanisms, wheels, tires, batteries.
• Identifies parts and/or systems for repair; repairs or replaces, as appropriate.
• Removes broken parts and replaces with new or reconditioned parts.
• Road tests vehicles to diagnosis issues and ensure a safe operating vehicle.
• Uses hydraulic jacks to raise equipment.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school education or GED
• In-depth knowledge of all hand, air and power tools required for this industry
• Basic understanding and knowledge of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures
• Overall complete knowledge with comprehensive truck/trailer repair.
• Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge.
• Clean MVR.
• 6-10 years of Diesel Tech experience.
• Ability to work well in a team environment
