Job summary

Hogan Transportation is seeking an experienced diesel/reefer technician to maintain and repair tractor and truck equipment across North America. The role involves diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and replacing parts to keep fleets safe and compliant.

You must have 10+ years of diesel/reefer experience, strong knowledge of hand/air/power tools, welding and oxy-acetylene cutting, and own a personal tool set. A clean MVR is required and high school diploma or GED.

• In-depth knowledge of hand, air and power tools.
• Basic understanding and knowledge of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures.
• Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge in diesel/reefer tech.
• 10+ years of diesel/reefer experience.
• Clean MVR.
• Own set of tools.

Responsibilities

• Provides preventive maintenance and DOT inspections using correct procedures.
• Diagnoses and repairs tractors and trucks using established policies, procedures and tools.
• Identifies parts and/or systems for repair; repairs or replaces as appropriate.
• Removes broken parts and replaces with new or reconditioned parts.
• Road tests vehicles to diagnose issues and ensure safe operation.
• Uses hydraulic jacks to raise equipment.
• Other duties as required.

Job Summary

Provides required maintenance, including diagnosis and repair for Hogan tractor and truck equipment. Includes the removal, replacement and repair of any an all components of the tractor or truck.

This position pays $36-$40 per hour for qualified Techs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides preventive maintenance and DOT Inspection using the correct procedures and guidelines.
• Diagnoses and repairs tractors and trucks using well-established policies and procedures, as well as hand and power tools; this includes, but is not limited to, various types of braking systems (hydraulic, air, disc), electrical systems, clutches, air conditioning and heating systems and instruments and gauges, steering mechanisms, wheels, tires, batteries.
• Identifies parts and/or systems for repair; repairs or replaces, as appropriate.
• Removes broken parts and replaces with new or reconditioned parts.
• Road tests vehicles to diagnosis issues and ensure a safe operating vehicle.
• Uses hydraulic jacks to raise equipment.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• Basic understanding and knowledge of welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting procedures
• Overall complete knowledge with comprehensive truck/trailer repair.
• Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge.
• 10+ years of diesel/reefer tech experience.
• Clean MVR.
• Own set of tools.
