As a Diesel Mechanic - Experienced (Service Tech IV), you'll perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment with limited supervision in a safe, professional manner. You can improve and challenge yourself daily, with potential for leadership roles in our Service Department. All team members are expected to provide exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment using independent judgment.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance when required; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
• Maintain documentation of work performed in a timely manner.
• Assist with equipment and parts pick-up and delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 5+ years of experience in repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment, schematics, and diagrams.
• Own tools applicable to the position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs frequently.

This position is Safety Sensitive per United Rentals' policies.
