Job summary

Southway is seeking experienced full-time crane operators to join our Augusta, South Carolina branch. The role emphasizes safety, proper crane setup, and safe lifting of loads, with customer focus and compliance with all state and federal laws.

Candidates must hold a current CDL, a valid NCCCO crane operating license, and 3+ years of hydraulic crane operation. The job requires reading load charts, signaling with hand signals, and performing routine crane maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must have a current state issued CDL.
• Must have a current crane operating license (NCCCO).
• 3 or more years of operating hydraulic cranes required.
• Ability to operate crane by viewing hand signals.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety first and proper setup of crane with safe lifting of loads.
• Review daily job assignments and prepare rigging and equipment.
• Complete field tickets and payroll documentation as required.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, perform basic shop tasks and signaling.
• Read load charts and program crane control operating modes.
