Job summary

Southway Crane & Rigging Inc. is seeking a skilled Crane Operator for our Savannah, GA branch. You will operate hydraulic cranes, review load charts, and work with signals from the designated signal person to lift loads safely.

Responsibilities include preparing rigging and equipment, completing field tickets, and maintaining daily logs. A valid CDL and NCCCO crane license, plus 3+ years of crane experience, are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a current state issued Commercial Driver License (CDL).
• Must have a current crane operating license (NCCCO).
• 3+ years of operating hydraulic cranes.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow hand signals for crane operations.

Responsibilities

• At end of shift, review next day’s job assignments and have necessary rigging and equipment ready.
• Complete Field Ticket and submit to local branch office.
• Complete payroll book daily with hours worked and report by 10:00 a.m. Monday.
• Inspect, maintain, and clean equipment when not assigned to a job.
• Read, interpret, and apply load charts for crane loads and safety.
• Program crane computer for proper setup and location on-site.
• Ensure signal person understands and uses proper hand signals before lifting.
• Perform safe rigging techniques for load lifting.
• Inspect crane, truck, and trailer and submit vehicle inspection reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
