Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Construction Management Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of instrumentation, controls, and network infrastructure construction projects. You will work with engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure safety, schedule, cost, and quality targets are met, and assist with commissioning and turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or related).
• 2–3 years of experience supporting large commercial construction projects (semiconductor, data center a plus).
• Experience coordinating engineering construction, contractors and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management tools; able to create JIRA trackers.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction activities for assigned projects.
• Review engineering drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
• Coordinate with contractors and cross-functional teams.
• Support Instrumentation & Controls and/or Network infrastructure installations.
• Oversee cabling, fiber/copper infrastructure, and system integration.
• Support commissioning, testing, and project turnover.
• Resolve field engineering and construction issues.
• Track project schedule, quality, safety, and cost.
• Identify process improvements and drive execution efficiency.

Position Summary

The Construction Management Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects for Instrumentation & Controls and Network infrastructure systems. This role works closely with engineering, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with design and quality requirements, while supporting commissioning and successful facility turnover.

Required qualifications:

The current base salary range for this role is between $95,000 - $120,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
