• Receive and test construction materials such as soils, aggregates, and concrete.
• Perform laboratory testing including moisture content, sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, and more.
• Record accurate data and report findings to the Laboratory Manager.
• Maintain lab equipment and workspace according to safety and quality standards.

We are seeking an Experienced Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time opportunity for individuals interested in a hands‑on role testing construction materials and supporting infrastructure development. Compensation: $22-25/hour (depending on experience)

Location: West Valley City, UT

FLSA Exemption: Non-Exempt

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (schedule may vary)

What You'll Be Doing

• Receive and test construction materials such as soils, aggregates, and concrete
• Perform laboratory testing including:
  • Moisture Content
  • Sieve Analysis
  • Atterberg Limits
  • Proctor Compaction
  • Consolidation
  • Direct Shear
  • Compressive Strength
• Record accurate data and report findings to the Laboratory Manager
• Maintain lab equipment and workspace according to safety and quality standards

What You Have

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Willingness to follow procedures and contribute to team success

What Will Make You Stand Out

• 1 year of experience in a similar lab or materials testing role
• ACI or UDOT certifications
• Coursework or degree in civil engineering, construction management, or geology

Preferred Certification(s)

• ACI - Soils, Conrete, Asphalt Certifications
