Job summary

CMT Technical Services is seeking a Field Materials Testing Technician in St. George, Utah. You will perform field tests on soils, concrete, and asphalt and may work in the lab as needed to support infrastructure and building projects. This role develops hands-on experience in construction materials testing and emphasizes accuracy and safety.

The position involves on-site outdoor work, with training available to expand your capabilities within a safety-focused team at CMT.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests on construction materials (e.g., soils, concrete, asphalt).
• Verify conformance to construction plans and specifications.
• Accurately complete daily field reports and datasheets.
• Follow testing procedures and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment and company vehicle.

We are seeking Field Materials Testing Technicians to join our team in St. George, UT. This is a great opportunity to develop a meaningful career in construction materials testing, whether you are just starting out or already certified. We are looking for individuals who take initiative, enjoy working outdoors, and are committed to producing quality work. As well as field work, you will also be trained and working in the lab.

Compensation: $18-20/hour (depending on experience)

Location: St. George, UT

FLSA Exemption: Non-Exempt

Schedule: Hours may vary

What you’ll be doing

• Perform field tests on construction materials (e.g., soils, concrete, asphalt)

What you have
