Job summary

Class Valuation is seeking a Commercial Staff Appraiser in Illinois to prepare credible commercial real estate appraisals and related valuation products per USPAP and client specs. The role manages engagements from scope through delivery, conducts market analysis, and communicates findings with clients and reviewers.

The position requires a Certified General Real Property Appraiser, 3–5 years of CRE appraisal experience, and proficiency with data platforms and MS 365. MAI is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in real estate or related field.
• Current Certified General Real Property Appraiser credential in respective states.
• Experience in appraisal management, lending, or national firms preferred.
• Three to five years of commercial real estate appraisal experience.
• Knowledge of USPAP and independence requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare narrative and form-based commercial appraisals across property types.
• Review terms, scope, and data; identify users and assignment conditions.
• Inspect properties and document market, locational, and physical factors.
• Research comparables, leases, expenses, and market trends.
• Develop and reconcile sales comparison, income, and cost approaches.
• Analyze leases, statements, and related documents; support conclusions.
• Produce USPAP-compliant reports and respond to reviewer questions.
• Manage deadlines, data gaps, and delivery risks; maintain files.
