Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Charleston, SC is seeking a qualified Commercial HVAC Mechanic to maintain and repair HVAC systems across client facilities. You will work on chillers, boilers, cooling towers, AHUs, and rooftop units, ensuring safe, efficient operation.

The role requires EPA Universal Certification, 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, and the ability to read blueprints and operate building automation systems. On-call rotations and union membership may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systems.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• NATE or HVAC Excellence Certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC systems (chillers, boilers, cooling towers, AHUs, rooftops).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Monitor and maintain building automation systems to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
• Respond to service requests and emergency repair calls; conduct routine inspections.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams; participate in an on-call rotation.
