Job summary

JLL is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Mechanic in Charleston, SC, to support operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across client facilities. The role requires strong technical expertise in commercial HVAC equipment, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance in a fast-paced facilities environment.

Day-to-day tasks include preventive maintenance on chillers, boilers, AHUs, and rooftop units; diagnosing issues across mechanical, electrical, and control systems; and

Qualifications

5+ years hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systems.
EPA Universal Certification required.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC systems (chillers, boilers, AHUs, rooftops).
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
Monitor building automation systems to optimize performance and energy use.
Respond to service requests and emergency repairs in a timely, professional manner.
Conduct routine inspections and identify opportunities for improvements.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and compliance documentation.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for maintenance projects.
Participate in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours emergency service.
