Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a Machinist in Monroe, NC to set up, program, and operate CNC lathes and mills for precision components.

You will read blueprints, edit CNC programs using G-Code and M-Code, and perform first-piece inspections to ensure quality, while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Machining, Manufacturing Technology or related degree preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and hands-on machining experience will be considered.
• Training in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, manual lathes, vertical mills, and horizontal mills to manufacture precision components.
• Program, edit, and optimize CNC machinery using G-Code and M-Code.
• Read blueprints and inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and production issues to minimize downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and safety standards.
