JD Machine is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for the weekend shift in Ogden, UT. The role focuses on setting up machines, reading blueprints, GD&T, and producing close-tolerance parts on a Friday–Sunday schedule with a three-day workweek.

You’ll operate state-of-the-art equipment in a modern facility serving aerospace, defense, and other demanding industries, with a 10% shift differential for weekend hours.

WORK 36 HOURS-GET PAID FOR 40!

Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Location: Ogden, Utah
Employment Type: Full-time

Pay: Depending upon experience ($22 for 2 years experience up to $30+, then additional shift differential)

JD Machine is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist for our weekend shift. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist who can confidently set up and produce close-tolerance parts while enjoying a consistent three-day workweek.

You’ll work with state-of-the-art equipment in a bright, clean, modern facility-and your work will support critical industries such as aerospace, defense, communications, mining, and more.

What You’ll Do

• Set up CNC machines for the production of close-tolerance components

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements

• Inspect completed parts using appropriate precision measuring equipment

• Make fixture, tooling, and process adjustments to maintain quality

• Work with a variety of materials and part configurations

• Identify and troubleshoot machining or quality issues

• Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation

• Collaborate with team members to meet safety, quality, and production goals

• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• At least two years of experience setting up CNC machines and producing close-tolerance parts

• Strong understanding of mechanical inspection techniques

• Working knowledge of GD&T

• Experience machining a variety of materials

• Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work

• Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a team-oriented environment

Weekend Schedule

Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Enjoy a consistent three-day workweek with four days off. The 10% shift differential means you work 36 hours and get paid for 40!
