Job summary

JD Machine Corp. in Ogden, Utah, seeks an experienced CNC Machinist for the weekend shift. You will set up CNC machines, read blueprints with GD&T, and inspect parts to ensure close tolerances.

Schedule is Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Pay ranges from $22 to $30+ per hour based on experience, with a 10% shift differential. This full-time role offers a stable team environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience setting up CNC machines and producing close-tolerance parts.
• Strong understanding of inspection techniques for quality control.
• Working knowledge of GD&T principles and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience machining a variety of materials and geometries.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines for production of close-tolerance components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Make fixture, tooling, and process adjustments to maintain quality.
• Work with various materials and part configurations.
• Identify and troubleshoot machining or quality issues.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.
• Collaborate with team to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
