Role Qualifications

• 6+ years of civil design experience and an Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) in CAD or civil/mechanical engineering technology, or 10+ years of relevant experience without AAS.
• Interest and experience in high-voltage transmission/distribution lines is a plus.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding construction drawings, developing and coordinating design drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of PLS-CADD, safety codes, utility standards, and regulations (NESC, ASCE IEEE) is advantageous.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Day-to-day Job Responsibilities

• Lead revisions of drawings and documentation for transmission and distribution projects in AutoCAD.
• Prepare bills of material and supporting documentation for permits.
• Coordinate data collection and record updates with technical personnel.
• Communicate and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Organize documents and maintain records.
• Assist in developing standards, tools, and resources for the design team.
