Role Qualifications

• 6+ years of civil design experience and an Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CAD) or civil, or mechanical engineering technology.
• Or equivalent experience without AAS degree - high school graduate and 10+ years of experience in computer aided drafting and/or electric utility work.
• Interest in high-voltage transmission/distribution lines; experience a plus.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings effectively.
• Ability to develop and coordinate design drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines and locations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with multitasking ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of PLS-CADD, safety codes, utility standards, and regulations (NESC, ASCE IEEE) is a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

• Lead revisions of drawings and documentation for transmission and distribution projects in AutoCAD.
• Prepare bills of material for project procurement.
• Support permit applications and documentation.
• Coordinate with technical staff to gather data and update drawings.
• Communicate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Organize documents and maintain records.
• Assist in developing standards and tools for the design team.
