Job summary

Plano ISD seeks an experienced HVAC technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair chiller and all HVAC equipment. You will analyze jobs, track time and costs, and ensure parts availability for scheduled assignments.

Qualified applicants will have five years in heavy commercial HVAC, a Texas driver’s license, and English literacy. Preferred: factory chiller certification; strong electrical/controls knowledge and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Requires five years of experience in heavy commercial HVAC.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Factory chiller certification preferred to support maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze each job assignment and ensure materials are available.
• Keep accurate records of time and cost for each job.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain commercial chillers and HVAC systems.
• Maintain electrical control systems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Follow safety rules and collaborate with building leadership on operations.
• Train department staff in chillers and HVAC troubleshooting and repairs.
• Participate in on-call rotation and adhere to attendance policies.
• Perform other duties assigned by administration or supervisor.
