Job summary

TheKey is hiring caregivers in Oregon to support aging adults in their homes. Opportunities include day, evening, and weekend shifts with full-time and part-time roles available.

As a Caregiver for TheKey, you’ll assist clients 1:1 with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and meaningful companionship. Competitive pay, benefits, and ongoing development await committed caregivers.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of professional caregiving experience required.
• Alzheimer's or Dementia care experience preferred.
• Empathy and patient communication are essential.
• Must be reliable, on time and have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 personal care including dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and organization.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands.

Responsibilities

As a Caregiver for TheKey, you’ll assist your clients 1:1 with the following activities inside their homes:

• Personal care: dressing, bathing, grooming and assisting with meals
• Light housekeeping: basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing
• Transportation: Driving clients to appointments, running errands, and grocery shopping
• Companionship: games, puzzles or other activities that provide social and emotional support

Additional needs for this client may include:

• Hoyer lift transfers and full bed-bound care
• Bed baths, incontinence care, and mobility support
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Collaboration with an actively involved family care team

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of professional caregiving experience required
• Alzheimer's or Dementia experience
• Total care, skilled nursing facility, memory care, or rehab experience highly valued
• Strong professional communication skills, patience, and adaptability
• Empathy, compassion and kindness a MUST
• Ability to use sound judgement and remain calm in a variety of situations
• Must be reliable, dependable and on time
• At least 18 years of age
• Basic computer skillsDriver for clients (with vehicle, car insurance and registration)
